For our first event for 2010 the BBC is proud to bring together representatives from our city's secondary education providers.
A quality education is a fundamental requirement and is every parent's expectation. Our schools are trusted with the care of our children to bring them to adulthood and to equip them to be part of and contribute to our society.
How do Bendigo's secondary schools ensure today's pupils are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow?
Our speakers
Ron Lake is the regional director (Loddon Mallee) of the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. He is leading the implementation of the Bendigo Education Plan.
Darren McGregor is Principal of Catholic College Bendigo. CCB is currently undertaking significant building works at its La Valla (Junortoun) campus.
Matthew Maruff arrives in Bendigo as the new headmaster for Girton Grammar School. Matthew has held a number of teaching and academic roles at St Kevin's College, Geelong Grammar School and Ivanhoe Grammar School.
